Newtown Historical Society Presents: TILL BOOTS HIT THE GROUND

This talk by Peter Cronin will be a presentation about the people and circumstances that led the world into World War II. Emphasis will be placed on the time from two years prior to America's entry into the war to the shores of Guadalcanal in the Soloman Islands, a series of land and sea battles in 1942 in which the Allies defeated the Japanese.
