Kid's Day of Service with Sandy Hook Peaceful Arts sponsored by Whole Foods - FREE LUNCH

• Whole Foods Market Danbury, Fairfield, and Westport will host a Kids' Day of Service Volunteer Initiative in conjunction with Sandy Hook Peaceful Arts.  Sandy Hook Peaceful Arts, a non-profit organization,  that provides opportunities for the community to collaborate, create, express, and experience the arts under the guidance of teaching artists. Sandy Hook Peaceful Arts also engages in and provides educational opportunities in peaceful practices to enhance overall well-being.Volunteers will have the opportunity to create various peace flags that will be centered around expressing gratitude and sharing peace. 
• Peace flags created will be shared with local first responders, organizations, businesses, and individuals in Newtown and the surrounding communities who have fostered healing and peace.
• Participants will also engage in discussions about expressing  gratitude and what it means to cultivate peace in our lives.

Event Details:

Participants are asked to bring a non-perishable food donation for the Newtown Food Bank.

• Saturday, September 7th
• Volunteer Hours:  11:00am - 12:30pm
• Lunch Served: 12:30pm
• We'll have a healthy lunch at 12:30 for kids and grown-ups. Join us in modeling the fun of "eating a rainbow" in honor of the Whole Kids Foundation!
