I have a passion for helping others make the most of their opportunities with children and am commited to child development and education along with a desire to see others grow and succeed in their caregiving endeavors!

As a Local Childcare Coordinator (LCC) for Cultural Care Au Pair (CCAP) I provide services and support to host families and their au pairs throughout the program year.

Additionally, I advise area au pairs and their host families on educational opportunities and organize fun activities for the entire extended Cultural Care Au Pair family to enjoy.

My own experiences with children mostly began as a camp counselor which turned into unit directing and training counselors at an incredible summer camp – I stayed for 10 summers!

Later, I was a live-in nanny for a fabulous four year old during college. I have supervised a before and after school program, taught and worked with orphans in India, tutored and counseled at-risk youth in Pennsylvania and taught second grade in suburban Maryland. More recently, I have enjoyed organizing volunteer tutors for non-profit programs, and coordinating educational and aftercare activities for refugee children in New Haven. I hope to be able to help others extend and improve their childcare and educational skills.

I am a certified elementary education teacher and hold a master’s degree in health education, specializing in community health. My recent community involvement includes being a participant in the New Haven Family Engagement Committee and a student with the Parent Leadership Training Institute. One of my favorite trainings, though, has been as a doula- assisting mothers during childbirth is extremely rewarding!

Five years ago, I got married and became a full-time step-mother of four children. Big Change! Now I thrive on family vacations, school events, celebrating holidays, reading, hiking and just plain old hanging out with my family!
