Newtown Senior Center

<p>The Senior Center provides many services designed exclusively for the town's aging population, including monthly blood pressure clinics, hearing and eye exams, mini-bus transportation, intergenerational programs, day and overnight trips, exercise programs such as yoga, education and nutrition seminars, computer classes, monthly book discussion and a pot luck dinner on the first Tuesday of every month.</p> <p>The center also hosts an annual picnic, Mother's Day Team, monthly bingo party, the Country Hoe Down, Christmas party and Harvest Bazaar. New Opportunities of Waterbury serves a daily hot meal.</p> <p>The center is not designed to provide adult day care but opportunities for seniors to share ideas, coping mechanisms and mutual support.</p> <p>Annual membership dues cost $12.</p>
