Newtown Friends of Music is a nonprofit group that has been bringing classical musicians to Newtown since 1978. The concert season includes six performances, all of them at Newtown's Edmond Town Hall auditorium. The group also is involved with a school outreach program, which brings visiting musicians into the local classrooms to share their skills and stories with the students. Annual membership subscriptions include tickets to all of the season's concerts, however individual tickets may also be purchased. Children under 14 years of age are admitted free with an adult who has purchased a ticket.
