<p>The Newtown Bee, a family-owned broadsheet newspaper, traces its history to 1877.</p> <p>The paper, which costs 75 cents an issue, was among the first in the state in the mid-1990s to create a news Web site.</p> <p>In addition to the Bee paper, which chronicles local government, schools, sports and other topics in Newtown, the company puts out the popular Antiques and the Arts Weekly publication, which has a national distribution.</p> <p>R.
