Middle Gate School

<p>An elementary school for students in kindergarten through fourth grade, Middle Gate was first established in 1783. The school was later named after a 19th century toll gate house that sat between two other toll gates on the Bridgeport-Newtown turnpike, now known as Route 25.</p> <p>The school colors are red and white, and the mascot is a bald eagle.</p> <p>For the 2010-11 year, Christopher Geissler was named principal of Middle Gate School,  replacing Judith Liestman.</p>
