This Saturday is going to the dogs — literally.
The 5th Annual "Strutt Your Mutt" event will take place at the town's Park and Bark space, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on May 31. This will be the first year the event is held at the new dog park, on Old Farm Road, behind Reed Intermediate School.
While the event is all about celebrating our furry friends, it will be fun for the entire family.
There will be vendors, refreshments, a canine agility course as well as contest for hot dog toss, look-alike, best dressed, frisbee toss and, of course, the Strutt Your Mutt pageant.
The event is sponsored by the Friends of the Newtown Park and Bark and Newtown Parks & Recreation.
The cost is $10 for a dog; and $5 for each additional one.
