This Week in Newtown: Honoring Vets, 'Noises Off'

Veterans' Day Memorial: Newtown VFW Post 308 will host its annual Veterans' Day Memorial on Monday, November 11, at 11 am. Post Commander James Rebman will be the master of ceremonies and First Selectman Patricia Llodra will be the guest speaker.

Stretch & Glow Yoga: This class introduces the practice of flowing smoothly through yoga poses to build focus, concentration and determination. 4:00 p.m. Tuesday at SOUND Center for Arts.

Relaxing Ukulele for Adults: This class is designed for the absolute adult beginner who wants the experience of learning to play a new instrument alongside a group in a calm & supportive environment. 7:30 p.m. Tuesday night at SOUND Center for Arts.

Chamber of Commerce Networking Event: In an effort to help foster business opportunities in the Greater Newtown area, the Newtown Chamber of Commerce continues to host free monthly networking events open to all local business professionals. 8:00 a.m. Wednesday at Sal y Pepe.

The Resilient Life with Dr. John Woodall: The founder of the Unity Project speaks at the Working Women's Forum. 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Villa Restaurant.

Newtown's High School Drama Club Presents 'Noises Off!': Come see this "play within a play" Thursday through Sunday at Newtown High School. Ticket information in link.

Kids Lend a Paw Dog Walk: Join this 1.6 mile dog walk to support the SPCA of Connecticut. Starts 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Fairfield Hills.

Merryhill Harvest Festival: More than 30 craft vendors, food vendors, children's crafts in "Santa's Workshop" and a visit from Santa, games, performances, raffles, Tractor Mac, Amber Alert and much more! Starts 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Reed Intermediate School.
