This Week in Newtown: Christmas Eve Services, Fun Day

Here's a look at what's going on in Newtown this week:

Making Ornaments: On Dec. 23, there will be a winter wonderland at the EverWonder Experience. We will be making snowflake ornaments. Starts 10:00 a.m. at 31 Pecks Lane.

Christmas Eve Service -- St. John's Episcopal Church: 5 Washington Ave., Sandy Hook: Carol Sing 6:45PM, Holy Eucharist 7:00PM. All are welcome.

Christmas Eve Service -- Newtown Bible Church: 32 Sugar street Newtown having Christmas Eve candlelight service at 6 p.m. Will be celebrating birth of Christ through music, special music and devotional by candlelight. Cookie fellowship to follow service. All are welcome.

Christmas Eve -- Congregational Church: Services start 5:30 p.m. with a family service and children's pageant. Services of light at 7:30 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.

Christmas Eve -- United Methodist Church: Services of scripture and candles at 5:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. with communion.

Christmas Eve -- Trinity Episcopal Church: A family service with children's sermon from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and a festival choral prelude and Eucharist with incense from 10:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
