This Week in Newtown: Christmas Boutique, Sounds of the Season

Newtown's Christmas Tree lightings are this weekend, but there's plenty to do in town and around before then. Here's a look at what's going on in town through the week:

Newtown Author Patricia Barkman: Barkman will read from and sign copies of her new book Lieber, the story of her long marriage to her husband, who died in 2012. Starts 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Booth Library.

Solarize Newtown Workshop: The next in a series of informational workshops aimed at bringing solar power to Newtown. Starts 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at Booth Library.

St. Rose Christmas Boutique: Start your Christmas shopping in style as the three-day Christmas Boutique kicks off Friday night at St. Rose of Lima. Begins 6:30 p.m. with a wine, appetizers and dessert gala.

Christmas Tree Lighting: Join the town for the Christmas Tree lighting at Ram's Pasture. Starts 6:30 p.m. Friday.

Sounds of the Season: Enjoy a festive Christmas concert with a chorus and handbells at Trinity Episcopal Church. Starts 7:30 p.m. Friday.
