Pack up your pooch and head on down to the 3rd annual Strutt Your Mutt on Saturday, May 19 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. on the campus of Fairfield Hills. The event is sponsored by the Friends of Newtown Park and Bark and Newtown Parks and Recreation.
Registration for the walk begins at 9 a.m., the walk at 9:45 a.m. Fees are $25 per dog and $10 each additional dog. All proceeds go toward the construction of Newtown's only off-leash dog park. Save time and register online at www.NewtownParkandBark.org.
For the first time, the walk will include a hike to our proposed dog park site on Old Farms Road near the Governor’s Horse Guard facility and Newtown’s new animal shelter.
The event also features vendors, raffles and contests and refreshments will be available. All dogs must be leashed.
