Vote for NHS ska band "Smokebomb Mondays" in the School Jam USA Competition!

Newtown High School's "Smokebomb Mondays" ska band is competing for $5,000 for the school's music program! Click to learn how to vote!

The Newtown High School ska band, Smokebomb Mondays, (including Danny Bittman, Liam Reynolds, Tim Eames, Matt Spencer, Harrison Buzzi, Patrick Milano, and Jonah McKeown) has registered to compete in School Jam USA. This is a national program that rewards both aspiring teen musicians and their respective school music programs. Any style of music is welcomed and all songs submitted must be original. Finalists are chosen on a combination of their overall number of public votes (40%) and their musical score (60%) that is determined by a panel of industry judges.


Eight bands will be invited to participate in the live finals in Anaheim, California, late January, and have an opportunity to win a significant cash prize for the music program at their school. (1st place - $5,000, 2nd place - $3,000, 3rd place - $1,500, 4th-8th place - $1,000).

Help the band gain public votes by registering on the website: www.schooljamusa.com.

You can vote for Smokebomb Mondays once per day until Nov. 30th. Your daily vote is what is needed to keep Smokebomb competitive against the other 104 bands!

How to Cast Your Vote for Smokebomb Mondays: 

1) Go to Website: www.schooljamusa.com

2) Register one time - the site will send a temporary password to your email address that you will use to register

3) Once registered - select "Smokebomb Mondays" from the list of bands, or type their name in the search box. Bring up their band page and cast your vote.

You can vote once per day, and that appears to be what's needed. Please support Smokebomb Mondays with your vote today!

Town Clerk Aurelia is already causing the town to needlessly spend money defending her derelictionRead More of duty: "An attorney representing the town, with the law firm Cohen and Wolf, issued an opinion in response to the, (New York), Post's request stating that the public is only allowed to view death and marriage certificates that are "at least one hundred years old." Cost aside she is pushing for a state law that would restrict access to a minors birth certificate for 6 months, she originally wanted them sealed for 10 years. The only thing the proposed law is going to accomplish is the healing that has been accomplished is going to be undone when the seal expires.
