When Max got his MacBook, he started playing around with the iMovie installed on the laptop and found that he really enjoyed putting together films.

This is the second year he has submitted a piece to the Connecticut PTSA for its annual Reflections arts competition, and the second year he has come in second in the statewide competition. The Reflections program recognizes children for their creativity.

This year's theme was "Together we can," and Max spent a couple of weeks filming and editing the piece.

"The good part of making videos is editing it," he said.

Max is considering applying for the Center for the Arts program for video production, which would allow him to attend high school during the morning and then the arts program in the afternoon.

Next up for him is a role producing a music video that his grandfather, who owns a music store in New York City, helped land.
