West Haven Playground Will Honor Memory of Charlotte Bacon

This is the 13th playground built in Connecticut

The 13th “Where Angels Play” playground will be built in Connecticut Friday as the New Jersey based Sandy Ground Project continues to memorialize the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting victims.

This time the playground, which will be built in West Haven, will be built in memory of Charlotte Bacon. The playground will be constructed Friday adjacent to Sea Bluff Beach, which is where Ocean Avenue, Captain Thomas Boulevard and the end of Platt Avenue come together, the New Haven Register reports.

A dedication ceremony will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at the site. This is the 23rd out of 26 playground that have been built in New York, Connecticut and New Jersey.
