Therapy horses are reportedly playing a role in helping the Newtown community heal following the tragedy at Sandy Hook School.
According to a report in the CT Post, miniature horses from Florida-based Gentle Carousel Miniature Therapy Horses are visiting families of victims and town schools as part of a special psychotherapy program.
Some of the victims in the school shooting, including student Katherine Hubbard, were riders, according to the report. As such the area horse community wanted to share the animals with those affected by the tragedy.

Correction: An earlier edition of this story reported horses from Zoar Ridge Stable were involved in this program. According to a representative of Zoar Ridge, the stable is not involved.
