"Teacher Morale is at an All-Time Low" Newtown Teachers Claim

18 teaching positions eliminated next year

Teacher morale is at an all-time low and frustration is high” is what Thomas Kuroski, teacher union president, told Board of Education members at a recent meeting, the Connecticut Post reports.

Kuroski and fellow teachers are so upset because the school budget for next year does not include an increase and 18 teaching positions are being eliminated, the Post reports.

However, in an effort to improve relationships the superintendent of schools is forming a committee of teachers, administrators, and board members to begin a process of open communication, the Post reports.
