Newtown's Pupil Personnel Services Director Resigns

Michael Regan, who was hired as director of pupil personnel services in May 2003, has submitted his resignation to take a position at Cooperative Educational Services, according to a report in the Newtown Bee.

Pupil Personnel Services Director for the school district Michael Regan — who on the district's special education needs — has reportedly submitted his resignation, effective June 30, to take a position at Trumbull-based .

According to a report in the Newtown Bee, Regan, who was hired as director of pupil personnel services in May 2003, after serving as director of pupil services for Regional School District 17 in Higganum, will now be serving as director of special services at CES.

Regan is also reportedly slated to take over as president of the board of the Connecticut Council of Administrators of Special Education.

In his new role at CES, Regan will work under the leadership of former Newtown Evan Pitkoff.
