C.H. Booth Library is Calling All Young Artists for New Book

Calling all young artists and illustrators. Submit your best art and writing work to be included in a new book. The deadline is August 30th.

The C.H. Booth Library recently hosted "New Stories for Newtown," a day-long event of children’s book authors and illustrators who made school visits and held book signings.

Now the library wants to know what inspires Newtown students. They are inviting all students ages 19 and under who are currently enrolled in Newtown schools to submit original works of art, illustration, poetry or short fiction for a book they are creating. The theme of the contest is, "What Inspires Me."

All of the work will be published in two books, which will be distributed to other school libraries. The best work will be displayed at the C.H. Booth Library.
