'America is a Center-Right Country'

Some people say these descriptions are just labels. How better to summarize your beliefs than with one or two words?

What exactly does that mean? I know that some do not want to read it or admit it but here we go.

What it means is that of the continuum of political philosophies and beliefs, if moderate falls directly midpoint on the spectrum, most Americans label themselves to the right of center or to the right of moderate.

The right is the conservative end and the left is the liberal end of the continuum. Whether you substitute traditionalist for conservative or progressive for liberal does not change the numbers.

According to the Gallup poll, 21% of Americans describe themselves as liberal.  Those Americans that identify themselves as conservative comprise 41% of the adult populace. Moderate adults comprise 36%.

Breaking it down by the two major political parties, conservatives identify more with Republicans and liberals with Democrats. Even among those adults that are independent or unaffiliated with one of the major parties, conservatives outnumber liberals roughly 2:1.
