Victims’ Parents to Speak to The Sandy Hook Advisory Commission

Commission will hear from three first-graders' parents.

Governor Malloy’s Sandy Hook Advisory Commission will hear from the parents of three of the first-graders killed in the Newtown tragedy at a meeting Friday morning.

Patch reported that at the Commission’s last meeting, the division looking into mental health recommendations suggested speaking with families would inform their reports on recommendations for mental health proposals in the fields of response and recovery.

Mr. Neil Heslin (father of Jesse Lewis), Mr. David Wheeler and Mrs. Francine Wheeler (parents of Benjamin Wheeler) and Mrs. Michele Gay (mother of Josephine Gay) will speak to the Commission at the meeting.
