As of 6 pm this evening, almost 2,000 voters had turned out for the primaries. An almost festive atmosphere permeated the parking lot of the Reed Intermediate school most of the day, as neighbors and supporters stood and chatted, the driveway decorated with colorful candidate signs in a straight line into the parking lot.
