Campaign Notebook: Another Spokesperson Leaves McMahon

News and updates from the campaign trail in Connecticut.

Senate

Linda McMahon (R): The campaign’s spokesperson resigned after a month on the job for unknown reasons, reports the Associated Press. The previous spokesperson reportedly left the campaign a month ago for family reasons.

Chris Murphy (D) has been buying ads to air during WWE Raw, where McMahon was once CEO.

Fifth District 

Elizabeth Esty (D) has received the support of the AFL-CIO union, which previously endorsed Chris Donovan, according to the Associated Press. Despite losing the primary, Donovan hasn’t dropped out of the race as the Working Families candidate.

Andrew Roraback (R) gained the support of the Independent Party, reports the Register Citizen. He will now appear on two ballot lines.
