Town Issues Smoke Alarm Reminder via CodeRed

In light of horrific house fire in Stamford, Newtown fire officials remind residents about the importance of smoke detectors.

The town's emergency communications director Maurreen Will issued a CodeRed message to residents reminding them to install smoke detectors and regularly change the batteries in light of the .

Residents are reminded that the CodeRed calls come from the following phone number: 855-969-4636. Program this number into your phone so that in the future you will know that it is a CodeRed message.

For more information on smoke detectors, please check the fire marshal's office or your local fire station: , , , and .

Town Clerk Aurelia is already causing the town to needlessly spend money defending her dereliction…Read More of duty: "An attorney representing the town, with the law firm Cohen and Wolf, issued an opinion in response to the, (New York), Post's request stating that the public is only allowed to view death and marriage certificates that are "at least one hundred years old." Cost aside she is pushing for a state law that would restrict access to a minors birth certificate for 6 months, she originally wanted them sealed for 10 years. The only thing the proposed law is going to accomplish is the healing that has been accomplished is going to be undone when the seal expires.
