Tailgating, Cell Phone Use Leads to Multiple Arrests

The following arrest information was supplied by the Newtown Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

 

Maria Fregosi, of Bridgeport, was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and operating a motor vehicle while using a cell phone after police observed her driving while on her cell phone on Church Hill Road on Tuesday, Sept. 25 at approximately 10:33 a.m. 

Fregosi was released on $100 bond and is scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court on Oct. 10.

Carlos Alberto Souffront, 22, of Bridgeport, was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and failure to drive a reasonable distance apart after police observed him following a vehicle too close on South Main Street on Tuesday, Sept. 25.

Souffront was released on $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court on Oct. 10.
