The cell phone use carries a fine, the suspended license got them the appearance. And if I see someone was using a cell phone while rear ending me their phone will become "hands free"

Get real skipper, distracted drivers have been proven to be as dangerous as drunk sailors behind the wheel. Are you in favor of allowing these idiots to text while driving also? How many deaths will it take for you to see the light?

ps: only the knuckle draggers haven't seen the light.. most states --38, plus the District of Columbia, Guam, and the Virgin Islands -- have laws that restrict cell phone usage by drivers.

Some Facebook comments to add: Po Kim Murray: I do not believe the laws are too strict. People are being killed by those who text and drive. Distracted driving=accidents. Laura Henriques: The laws are only there to generate revenue. They could care less about safety. Smoking in a car is an equal distraction. And not just for the smoker - dodging lit butts when they are tossed out windows and come flying at your car is always fun. An airborne butt actually made it INTO my engine compartment once. Real safe. www.facebook.com/NewtownPatch

Obviously Paul Alexander you are saying that to get a rise out of people because I can't believe anyone would say such a stupid thing.

Diane, never assume that the tea party folks aren't serious, no matter how absurd they sound.
