Police say they responded to a complaint about an intoxicated person getting in a car with a small child at Carminuccio's Restaurant at around 7:20 p.m. November 30.
They found Deirdre Walsh, 42, of Newtown, allegedly driving in the parking lot with her 8-year-old child in her car. Walsh was arrested and charged with DUI, Risk of Injury to a Minor, Possession of Narcotics and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Police say she was released after posting $5000 bond.
