Police: Teen With No License Drove After Drinking Alcohol

A 19-year-old Newtown resident was arrested on charges of operating a motor vehicle without license, operating a motor vehicle by a minor with elevated blood alcohol level, and driving in the right hand lane.

Police said Patrick D. Cain, of Fern Lane, was charged at 2:44 a.m. on May 18.

* well done Patch...but the Newtown police officer who was drunk, hit a car, caused a fire and injured the occupant in the other car never made it to press...surely an oversight I'm sure

Hi, Sam: I believe the arrest you are referring to took place in October of last year, and I don't recall offhand if we had the story. At this point, the case is sealed, according to the state judicial branch: http://www.jud2.ct.gov/crdockets/parm1.aspx. We report arrests as a matter of public record, and strive to do so with sensitivity, knowing full well the ramifications they can have for individuals and families.
