Police: Student Charged with Pulling Knife During Argument

The student, a juvenile, was arrested after the incident.

Police say an argument between students working at Newtown High School for the summer led to one student pulling a knife.

Police were called to the school at about 12:20 p.m. June 24 after the incident was reported, according to reports. They found that the students, working at the school for the summer, had gotten into an argument and one had pulled a knife. After investigating and speaking with students involved, they arrested one, charged with Carrying a Dangerous Weapon, Disorderly Conduct and Threatening.

Names and identifying information for juvenile offenders are not disclosed. The juvenile was released to a parent, say police, and was scheduled to appear in court August 12. No one was harmed in the incident, police say.
