Police: Student Accused of Pushing Teacher Arrested for Assault

According to reports, a Newtown High School student who allegedly pushed (but did not injure) a teacher was issued a misdemeanor summons.

 

Police responded to Newtown High School on March 11 after reports of a student assaulting a teacher, according to the Newtown Police Department. Police say an investigation was conducted, and the unidentified student was arrested on charges of assault. 

The teacher was "only pushed and not injured," according to police. The student was issued a juvenile misdemeanor summons for Breach of Peace and released to his/her guardian.
