Police: Man Camping in Woods Arrested On Domestic Violence Charge

Police say a homeless man arrested while camping out in the woods off Edmond Road in Newtown Wednesday was wanted in Bridgeport on outstanding charges of domestic violence.

While police were investigating an unrelated report of a homeless person, they found Jerome Robbins, 31, camping in the area, according to reports. Robbins was wanted in Bridgeport for violation of probation and domestic violence.

Robbins was held on a court-ordered $10,000 bond, police report.
