Newtown police are investigating what they say was an attempted residential burglary at a home on Great Hill Road near the intersection of Stone Fence Lane.
At about 11:20 a.m. on Dec. 18, police responded to an automatically triggered burglar alarm at the home and discovered someone had tried to pry open a rear window. According to reports, police believe suspects drove down the driveway to get to the house.
