Police Dog Smells Marijuana, Woman Charged With Sale

Neither arrests nor charges indicate a conviction, and neither means that a person is guilty of what police allege.

 

 

On Sept. 14, at approximately 8:30 p.m., officers of the Newtown Police Dept were conducting surveillance in the area of 228 S. Main Street and Sand Hill Plaza.  An undercover officer observed a drug transaction take place and with the assistance of the department’s K9 handler, interviewed the two people involved.

After a thorough investigation, Vanessa Fulton, 25, Palmetto Rd, Bridgeport,  was charged with the Sale of Marijuana of less than a 1/2 oz.  She was processed and later released on a $500 surety bond with a court appearance on Oct. 2, at Danbury Superior Court.

The other person involved was issued an infraction for violation of Possession of marijuana less than 1/2 oz.
