Police Blotter: Sexual Assault

The information below was provided by the Newtown police department. Neither arrests nor charges indicate a conviction, and neither means that a person is guilty of what police allege.

On July 10, Edward Wilson, 29, of Hillcrest Ave, was served a warrant for his arrest.  The arrest was the result of a search warrant that had been served at Wilson's home on April 12 by the Newtown Police Department and the Connecticut State Police-Computer Crimes Unit.

Wilson was charged with six counts of first degree sexual assault, five counts of sexual assault in the fourth degree and 12 counts of risk of injury.

Wilson was held on $750,000 bond set by the Danbury Superior Court and was arraigned on July 10, 2012.
