Police Blotter, June 28 - July 1

Police issue news releases on criminal possession of small amounts of marijuana, driving under the influence, impersonating a police officer and other incidents.

Cedar Hill Road: (Burglary)

Connors Road: (Underage drinking)

Charter Ridge Drive: Sean Canning White, 19, of 482 Tepi Drive, Southbury was charged with possession of less than 4 ounces of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia following reports of a loud Monday night party at 32 Charter Ridge Drive, police said. Multiple vehciles were parked on the road in front of the house, police said. White was arrested shortly after midnight, released on a $100 bond and is to appear July 13 in state Superior Court in Danbury. Domenick Tramontozzi Jr., 18, of 15 Tamarack Road, also was issued an infraction for possession of alcohol by a minor on a roadway, which carries with it a $136 fine and suspension of his driver's license, police said. It was unclear whether other arrests would be forthcoming.

Dodgingtown Road: Christy L. Muehlfeld, 30, of 79 Dodgingtown Road, Bethel, was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration, failure to have minimum insurance and failure to display a front number plate, following a motor vehicle stop at around 5 p.m., Tuesday, by 61 Dodgingtown Road, police said. She was released on a written promise to appear July 13 in state Superior Court in Danbury.

Main Street: A Danbury man was charged with driving under the influence and other charges after police went to investigate a report of an erratic driver by 45 Main St. at about 8:15 a.m., Monday, officials said. Thomas W. Gallagher, 51, of 14 Grandview Ave., was additionally charged with operating with a suspended license, failure to return license after it was suspended and failure to keep medication in its original container. He was released on $100 bond and is to appear July 13 in state Superior Court in Danbury.

3 Main St. (police department): Heather C. Moore, 39, of 80 Woodcrest Lane, Danbury, turned herself in on an arrest warrant to police at about 8 p.m., Tuesday, officials said. She was charged with attempt to commit sixth-degree larceny and released on $1,000 bond to appear July 13 in state Superior Court in Danbury.

Palestine Road: John Bingham, 58, of 16 Mt. Nebo Road, was charged with breach of peace, criminal trespass and impersonating a police officer at about 10 p.m., Tuesday at 24 Palestine Road, police said. Bingham had allegedly been involved in a rage road incident earlier, and tried to gain entry into the Palestine Road home, pushing aside one of the occupants and then said he was an off-duty police officer, police said. He was released on a $1,000 bond and is to appear July 13 in state Superior Court in Danbury.

Philo Curtis Road: A Honda, driven by Sheila Burden, 47, of 6 Jordan Hill Road, backed into a Volvo in the parking lot of 49 Philo Curtis Road at about 1:20 p.m., Tuesday, pushing the Volvo into two pedestrians, one identified as Jennifer Zulli, 36, and a juvenile, who was not identified because of his or her age, police said. The two were taken to Danbury Hospital for an evaluation, police said. The injuries were not life-threatening.

South Main Street: Brent Carlson Pascal, 26, of 136 Clover Hill Ave., Bridgeport, was charged with operating a motor vehicle with suspended registration, failure to have minimum insurance requirements and failure to display front-number plate following a traffic stop at about 7:30 p.m., Monday by South Main Street and Elizabeth Street, police said. He was released on a promise to appear July 8 in state Superior Court in Danbury.

South Main Street: A Dodge Stratus, operated by David Crevier, 62, of 11 Fairview Village Center, Chicopee, LA, veered off the road at South Main Street and Park Lane at about 3:40 p.m., Monday and  hit the guard rails, police said. No injuries were reported and Crevier, who was issued a verbal warning for following too closely, told police he was trying to avoid a vehicle in front of him that had stopped to make a turn, officials said.

Twist Hill Road: Several mailboxes were taken and one vandalized in the Twist Hill Road area Thursday night through early Friday morning, police said. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact police at 203-426-5841 and reference case no. 2010-8131.

Walnut Tree Hill Road: A BMW, driven by Jason Vasilescu, 33, of 1 Old Green Road, was traveling north on Walnut Tree Hill Road when it swerved over to the southbound lanes and struck a Honda Pilot, driven by Patricia Mullins, 44, of 19 Sleepy Hollow Road, at about 1 p.m., Tuesday, police said. Vasilescu, who told police he was trying to avoid hitting a squirrel, was issued a written warning for failure to drive right.
