This information was provided by the Newtown Police Department. Neither arrests nor charges indicate a conviction, and neither means that a person is guilty of what police allege.

According to a July 21 press release from the Newtown Police, a burglary in the Sutherland Drive area took place sometime between July 13 and 16.  The resident reported that a black 32 inch LG brand television and an approximately 3 foot x 1 foot amplifier, weighing 100 pounds and covered in gray-colored carpet, were taken from a basement residence.  Anyone with information is asked to contact the Newtown Police.
