Police Blotter, August 30 - Sept. 2

Police issue news releases on disorderly conduct and other incidents.

Eichler's Cove: Between 8 p.m., Monday and 8:30 a.m., Tuesday, someone damaged the external speakers to the Bird B Gone system at Eichler's Cove, police said. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 203-426-5841.

Hawleyville Road: Sean Patrick Fallon, 40, of 7 Ulster Road, Brewster, was charged with driving under the influence Thursday at about 12:19 a.m. after officials were contacted about an erratic operator, police said. Fallon was found in the parking lot of Hawleyville Deli, police said. He was released on a $500 bond and is to appear Sept. 16 in state Superior Court in Danbury.

Parmalee Hill Road: Paul, 47, and Kimber Carpenter, 45, of 19 Parmalee Hill Road, were each charged with disorderly conduct in connection with a domestic incident after police went to investigate a 911 hang-up call at their residence at about 10 p.m., Monday, police said. Kimber Carpenter was released on a written promise to appear Tuesday in state Superior Court in Danbury while Paul Carpenter, who was taken to police department, was released on a $100 bond and also is to appear Tuesday in state Superior Court. Paul Carpenter said the incident was a misunderstanding and that he and his wife were playing around, having a water fight.

South Main Street: A Dodge sport utility vehicle, operated by Robert Salerno, 65, of 42 Pastors Walk, Monroe, rear-ended a Saturn, driven by Nancy Cullen, 55, of 10 Orchard Hill Road, which in turn rear-ended a Buick, driven by Charlotte Thompson, 50, of 96 Huntingtown Road, at about 5 p.m., Monday, by 79 S. Main St., police said. Salerno received a verbal warning for following too closely, police said. No injuries were reported.

South Main Street: Sabrina Wilson, 55, of 1 East King St, Danbury, was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended driver's license and failure to display a front number plate following a motor vehicle stop by South Main Street and Elm Drive at about 5 p.m., Monday, police said. She was released on a written promise to appear Sept. 16 in state Superior Court in Danbury.

South Main Street: John Christopher Sikorski, 39, of 12 Park Lane was charged with evading responsibility, failure to have sufficient insurance, improper use of license or motor vehicle registration, failure to grant right of way, second-degree failure to appear in connection with a June 21 motor vehicle incident, police said. Officials said Sikorski had failed to appear in court to face those charges earlier, and that he was spotted on Wednesday operating a Sugar Hill Garage tow truck on Sugar Street, and later taken into custody during a motor vehicle stop. He was additionally charged with operating with a suspended license. Sikorski was released on a $500 bond and is to appear Sept. 15 in state Superior Court.

Taunton Hill Road: Anne Schneider, 44, of 108 Taunton Hill Road, was charged with threatening and disorderly conduct in connection with a domestic incident at about 7:25 p.m., Wednesday, police said. She was released on a written promise to appear Thursday in state Superior Court in Danbury.

Wasserman Way: Nicole Santo, 25, of 58 Hillandale Road, Danbury, was charged with misuse of plates, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and no insurance after police went to investigate a disabled motor vehicle on Wasserman Way at about 3:15 p.m., Monday, police said. She was released on a written promise to appear Sept. 14 in state Superior Court in Danbury.
