Police: $1000 Worth of Damage to High School Fields

Police are looking for information on who drove on the fields, causing damage to grass and irrigation systems.

An apparent vandalism on the baseball fields at Newtown High School has been priced at about $1,000, according to the Newtown Police Department.

In a report issued Thursday, police say they don't know who caused damage to fields behind the high school, but the person responsible apparently used their car to dig up ground on the field, ripping up grass and damaging the irrigation system.

No more details are available at this time. Anyone with information is asked to call Officer McGowan at 203-426-5841.
