Overturned Tractor Trailer, Car Accident Causing Delays on 84
Two consecutive accidents on I-84 around 1 p.m. Monday.
Two accidents, one after another, are tying up traffic on 84 west from Newtown into Danbury.
An accident involving at least two vehicles on 84 west between exits 9 and 10 just before 1 p.m. forced several vehicles off the road and started to slow traffic in the area.
Moments later, just up the road, a tractor trailer overturned on the grassy median, closing the left travel lane and causing more significant delays.
According to reports from the scene, the tractor trailer driver was outside of the rig and sitting on the grass shortly after the incident.
