Newtown Salon Burglarized; Police Investigating

are investigating a burglary in which items were stolen from Ricci's Salon during the overnight hours on April 13.

Police said entry was forced into the 99 South Main Street business. No other details were immediately available. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 203-426-5841.

Domestic Disturbance

Paul P. Sarnik Jr. of Newtown, 46, was arrested at 10:15 p.m. on April 19 on a charge of disorderly conduct in relation to a reported domestic disturbance at a Bungalow Terrace residence. He was held on a $500 bond and was due in court on April 20.

Reaghen E. Malloy, of Southbury, 28, was arrested at 12:45 a.m. on April 19 after police responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident on Butterfield Road. An investigation revealed her vehicle had a suspended registration and that her license was suspended, police said. Malloy was allegedly in possession of less than .5 ounces of marijuana and paraphernalia, police said. She was released on a $100 bond and scheduled to appear in court on May 3.

Speeding Leads to Arrest

Richard Williams, 54, of New Fairfield, was arrested after being pulled over for traveling too fast on Meadow Brook Road at 9:42 a.m. on April 24. Police said a check revealed that his license had been suspended. Williams was released after posting a $100 cash bond and is scheduled to appear in court on May 9.
