Police Seek Suspect in Burglary, Auto Theft

Police are investigating a case of burglary and larceny believed to have taken place Dec. 3 in the Sleepy Hollow area of Newtown, seeking a man suspected of stealing a car, breaking into another car and using stolen credit cards at a local gas station.

The suspect is believed to have stolen a green 2011 Toyota SJ Cruiser (license: #175YTM) in Danbury, then to have traveled to Newtown, where he allegedly broke into a car in the Sleepy Hollow area and stole some items, including credit cards.

Police enclosed photos, pictured above, of the suspect allegedly using those stolen credit cards at the Mobil station on Church Hill Road.

Pending charges from Newtown police include burglary, larceny and illegal use of a credit card, not counting pending charges in Danbury. Newtown Sgt. David Kullgren and Joe Michael are investigating the case. Anyone with information is asked to contact them at the Newtown Police Department, 203-426-5841.

Hi Claudia -- it's off Valley Field Rd, in Sandy Hook.

That's an FJ cruiser, not an SJ.
