A male juvenile was charged with disorderly conduct following a reported domestic dispute at a Huntingtown Road residence at 6:15 p.m. on April 5. Police said the juvenile allegedly damaged a wall and door during the incident. The juvenile was released to the custody of his mother and is due in court April 16.

Rebecca Carrafiello, 20, of Newtown, was arrested for possession of narcotics, possession of less than a half-ounce of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia at 9:02 p.m. on April 2. The arrest was made after officers responded to an Underhill Road residence on report of a possible drug overdose, police said. Carrafiello was released on a $100 bond and is due in court April 17.

A youthful offender with a previous record was arrested for disorderly conduct and second-degree threatening in relation to a reported domestic at his residence, according to police. The juvenile was released on a promise to appear in court on April 5.

John Testani Jr., of Danbury, turned himself in at at 1 p.m. on April 4 on two counts of second-degree harassment. Police said the charges stem from an incident in September of 2011 in which Testani allegedly left messages on the victim’s cell phone. He was released on a $200 bond and is scheduled to appear in court April 17.

A Newtown juvenile was arrested at 5:30 p.m. on April 2 for breach of peace after police responded to the Mobil Gas Station on Church Hill Road for a reported disturbance. The juvenile was released on a promise to appear in court on April 16.

A motor vehicle stop on Button Shop Road near South Main Street at 6:43 a.m. on April 7 resulted in the arrest of Steve Osmolik, 21, of Newtown, on charges of operating unregistered vehicle, failure to maintain minimum insurance, operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license and failure to display a front license plate.He was released on a promise to appear in court on April 24.

A speeding stop on Queen Street in which a car was reportedly traveling 60 miles per hour in a 25 miles per hour zone resulted in the arrest of David Paniccia, 33, of Trumbull, at 2:38 p.m. on April 8.
Investigation revealed that Paniccia’s vehicle was suspended due to lack of insurance and he was unable to produce a valid insurance card, police said. He was charged with operating a vehicle under suspension, speeding and failure to carry a valid insurance card. He was released on a promise to appear in court on April 19.

Newtown police are looking for information about a reported motor vehicle accident involving a Jeep Cherokee and a motorcycle that took place at 7:15 p.m. on April 6.
Police said the accident took place near Glen Road, in the area of River Road in Southbury, where the motorcycle operator crashed. Police are looking for the Jeep, which was described as a late 90s/early 2000 style Jeep Cherokee of a metallic silver blue color.
The Jeep may have damage to the driver’s side window area from being punched, police said. The Jeep may also have marks to the driver’s side area from contact, as witnesses report the vehicles may have scraped each other as the motorcycle attempted to pass the Jeep.
