Newtown Police Release 'Click It Or Ticket' Results

The holiday traffic enforcement effort has wrapped up and the results are in.

Newtown Police made a total of 229 stops during the 2012 "Click It Or Ticket" campaign.

The effort, which took place from Dec. 3 through Dec. 16, was part of a nationwide crackdown designed to increase safety during the holiday season.

Here are the results for the various types of violations:

Seat belt: 33 citations, 13 warnings
Child restraint: 0
DUI: 1
Speeding: 11 tickets, 66 warnings
Other: 17 citations, 88 warnings

Connecticut State Police also participated in the campaign.

ML, you claim that the assembled folks "do not offer judgements about gun ownership" but they are not including a single voice that can offer perspective on gun ownership. I have been to "education" sessions sponsored by Meg's March for Change and they are one-sided indoctrinations into gun control advocacy. >>>> I was in Hartford for the public hearings in January when both Meg and March co-founder Nancy gave their personal testimonies and they all but threatened the legislators on the panel with election day retribution for all those who did not tow the gun-control line of thinking (i.e. March and CAGV). To suggest that Meg "does not offer judgements" is fallacious and disingenuous.

Very skittish, but still in the neighborhood (yay). Please watch for her. My husband and sister-in-law (who first spotted her on Currituck this morning) were unable to get near her.
