Two burglaries were reported in Newtown earlier this week.
According to police, both burglaries occurred during the afternoon of Monday, Oct. 1, on Valley Field North and Chimney Swift Road. Entry was gained to both homes through smashed rear windows.
No one was home during either burglary and both were reported when families arrived home later that day. Jewelry was reported stolen from both homes.
