Police arrested a Newtown minor for marijuana possession Wednesday afternoon after he allegedly ran a stop sign at Castle Hill Road and Taunton Lake Road.
Police say the juvenile was heading west on Castle Hill Road at about 2:34 p.m. Wednesday when he ran a stop sign. Upon a brief investigation at the scene, police found less than half an ounce of marijuana in the car, along with paraphernalia.
He was reportedly released and will appear in juvenile court Nov. 18. Names and other identifying characteristics of minors are not released to the public.
