Newtown Man Arrested for Assault on Disabled Person

Police arrested a Newtown man Saturday evening after he allegedly assaulted a disabled person at his home on Fawnwood Road, according to reports.

William Camp, 53, was arrested at about 6:18 p.m. after police responded to the scene of the reported dispute. After an investigation, he was charged with disorderly conduct, third-degree assault of a disabled person and third-degree strangulation. He was held on $5,000 bail for a June 15 trial date.
