Four Residents Charged with DUI in February
Newtown Police arrested four residents for DUI over a span of 12 days this month. The information for each arrest, as provided by police, is as follows:
Bret C. Richter, 50, of John Beach Road in Newtown, was arrested on a charge of DUI at 5:54 p.m. on Feb. 14. He was pulled over in Sand Hill Plaza, 228 South Main St., following a complaint of erratic driving. Richter was released on a $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 27.
David K. Freeston, 27, of King Street in Newtown, was arrested at 12:57 a.m. on Feb. 17 on a charge of DUI and failure to keep right on a curve. He was released on a $100 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 25.

Justin Gaynor, 26, of Riverside Road in Sandy Hook, was arrested at 2:22 a.m. on Feb. 15 on charges of DUI and failure to have lights on. He was released on a $350 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 25.
Robert Louis Abric III, 42, of Berkshire Road in Newtown, was arrested on a charge of DUI and failure to give a proper signal at 11:09 a.m. on Feb. 5. He was arrested after police responded to Berkshire near Lone Oak Meadows on report of an accident. Police found a Toyato Tundra, Abric's vehicle, partially off the road, against a snow bank. He was held on "actual custody order" and brought to court on Feb. 6.
