SHS Excited For Newtown Earth Day Festival

Project Eagle to collect donations of small electronics, plastic bags and shoes for Soles for Souls; SHS 4th Graders to educate attendees on "H2O for Life: Walk for Water."

Sandy Hook School is excited to be part of Newtown's 5th Annual Earth Day Festival this Saturday, April 28th! Make plans to join the fun and stop by the Newtown Middle School between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. 
 
SHS will have two booths! Project Eagle will have one booth - collecting electronics and plastic shopping bags to recycle. Bring your cell phones, smart phones, GPS, cameras, e-readers, digital music players, game system components, and video cameras to recycle - but not laptops, PCs or printers. They will also collect gently worn shoes for the Soles for Souls project.

The 4th grade will also have a booth - building awareness about the world water crisis and raising funds for their upcoming "H2O for Life: Walk for Water" All proceeds from the May 4th Walk for Water will fund a clean water project at a school in Kenya.
