Sandy Hook School Referendum on Ocober 5th

I'd like to call attention to the October 5th referendum vote in Newtown, that asks the residents if they want to spend almost 50 million dollars to tear down the Sandy Hook Elementary School, so that it can be rebuilt on the same location.

I'd also like to point out that not one, single, solitary student who is currently enrolled in Sandy Hook Elementary (presently located in Monroe's Chalk Hill Middle School), would ever step foot in the new Sandy Hook school, because of their current age. All of the children currently enrolled in Sandy Hook, will be enrolled in Reed Intermediate, by the time the new Sandy Hook School opens.

I'd also like to point out that the town of Newtown was openly considering which of the four elementary schools they were going to purposely CLOSE, due to the well documented lack of student enrollment.

Also, please consider how Moore, Oklahoma recently lost many lives, as well as two ENTIRE schools, due to a tornado that shredded them to the ground. Those people couldn't control the massive expense of taxpayer dollars.

Newtown residents CAN.
