About 38 million travelers will take to the roads this holiday weekend, and overall travel will increase 4-percent from last year, according to AAA in its annual survey.
The increase in travel is the first significant increase in travel this year, according to the travel and motor organization. While gas prices are higher than they were a year ago, they are lower than a peak reached earlier this year, according to AAA.
Some people also are trying to get away earlier than usual. While the holiday travel period is defined as Wednesday through Sunday, some media outlets are reporting that Tuesday appears to fast becoming the new Wednesday of Thanksgiving travel as more people try to get a jump on the holiday.
So this is what the so-called experts are saying about travel this weekend. What do you think?
