Community Update

I am a bit concerned that the funds, given to Newtown by GE, designated to build a Community Center will be used to build a Senior Center. While it is true we should have a Senior Center for our 5,000 seniors I don't think it should be at the expense of the 25,000 other residence of Newtown. I get this notion because of the makeup of the committee that is making the recommendations  to the town. Three quarters of the committee are from the Commission of the Aging. Also the placement of the building should not be next to Newtown Youth Academy. Even a shopping center landlord wouldn't allow two like businesses next door to each other.
